This was part supernatural and part save the world and some parts not so secret. I really enjoyed Rick Remender's team, and their struggles, I was definitely flipping through this fast and wondering how our heroes would make it to the next page. Redemption, retribution, and a re-occurring theme of killing for the right (?) cause(as seen in his spectacular run of Uncanny X- Force, as well a fatal familial adversary) is all in this volume, and much much more.

There is an Avenger who happens to "stroll along" and lend a helping hand, and one I didn't expect considering the team, but I welcomed it and enjoyed this Avengers presence.

This is a great book. that you for the good condition and the great price. This is one for my collection.
I really liked the end of this series. I think it asked the reader to think about interesting ideas of what makes a person alive and when does a machine have life. I really liked hawkeye by the end of the series which is nice because he is one of my favorite superheroes. I do have one very minor question why does valkyrie fight naked hidden only by shadows and venom gets to fight with his underwear on. I feel should have been an either both naked or they both have underwear on. But this did not affect my enjoyment of the volume. I liked the artwork of this volume more which might because I'm used to it or it was the best drawn volume. I liked that it did end with a chance of hope even after dealing with very heavy ideas about life. Overall, I would suggest this a good series to pick up and read only had a problem with volume 2 seeming to more filler and having to deal with big comic event that doesn't match the rest of the series.

Bought this as I was following Remender's Uncanny X-Force run and this looked like a tie-in (with Father and everything). Turns out it isn't (this Father being alternate version of Uncanny X-Force's Father). I am getting tired of alternate timelines and dimensions and who knows what... Also, last couple of years must have been a living hell for ordinary people in 616 universe with all these cataclysmic, city-destryoing events; if I lived there, I would start to question the competence of the super heroes.

Anyway, if we disregard the convulted storyline we get slightly meh artwork and way too much dialogue which often seems out of place for some characters (when did Hawkeye become the new Spiderman, just couple a years ago he was a full time member of no-fun-club).

Also, still not sure why some HCs come in slip-covers and some not, this one doesn't. My Uncanny X-Force collections look a lot nicer.

As You can see, I was not particulary impressed with this volume; get it if you are a Remender or Secret Avengers completist.
