Glass Frost Frost Series Volume 2 Liz DeJesus 9780692422090 Books
I have always liked a story that has a fun yet dark quality to it. This series is definitely one of those stories and has created an alternate world that our fairy tale characters inhabit but can interact with our world in significant ways. The telling of fairy tales within their new contexts is flawless giving life to them as well as the enchanted realm they come from. The story flows perfectly from incident to incident and makes sense even with the fact that these are considered to be make believe characters who only lived within the imagination of their creators.Bianca has been home from the Everafter for only two weeks after having rescued her mother from a witch and finding her father, who had been missing for ten years, and is still missing the guy she met there. While in her backyard one night she sees a door appear and through it walks Terrance, the man she thought she would never see again. He has come because he wanted to see her again but also because the Queen has requested she return to the Everafter to do a favor for her. And no one refuses a Queen.
So Bianca goes back to the Everafter where she is seen as a powerful witch to do something her mother would not be happy about. While she is fighting for her life and that of her friends Bianca comes to an important decision that will make some happy and at the same time cause pain to others.
I recommend the two books currently in this series and hope more are to come as they have grabbed my imagination. YA is not a genre that I always enjoy but this is one of those exceptions I am always hoping to find.

Glass Frost Frost Series Volume 2 Liz DeJesus 9780692422090 Books Reviews
I bought this book after reading and liking the first book in this series, but this book was simply blah. There were a number of things I didn't like and I really had to force myself to finish reading it. Here are some things I thought were just wrong
1. Wishy washy friend who - surprise, surprise - bails during the adventure.
2. Ignorance galore - For example, this is supposed to be a girl raised on fairy tales and who was taught that they were true; but she somehow doesn't know that traditional stores of fairies write them as nasty tricksters and that you shouldn't eat or drink anything they offer. Even after being warned she acts like it's a joke until someone gets hurt.
3. Her magic seems to come and go in strength - one minute she can do anything, the next she can barely hold her own.
4. More smirking...
5. Supposedly fantastic parents who are really absentee parents who force her to work, apparently for free, full time (evidence by her lack of fund and a grounding from her allowance).
7. Well, I'll stop here. Needless to say, I won't be buying the next one.
Liz Dejesus spins a well crafted tale that mixes the human world and a magical place called Ever After. The main character, Bianca, is well balanced and smart enough to appreciate the fantastic without completely losing sight of reality. I look forward to the next part of the story.
Liz DeJesus has found a way to make me reimagine fairy tales! I love the "real world" explanations for all the things we read about as children. I know the Frost series is considered "YA", but Glass Frost (and First Frost) are light, entertaining, enjoyable reads. If you've ever wanted fairy tales to come true; read this series.
This sequel to First Frost is just delightful! I loved how it picked right up where First Frost ended. Bianca is a pretty normal teen, despite the fact that she is an ancestor of Snow White, and has magical powers. I enjoyed seeing her mature a bit, as well as Prince Ferdinand, who will make a great and compassionate king one day. Bluebell was an entertaining addition to the cast of characters....I hope he makes more appearances in the sequels, which I hope will be written!

What an ingenious way of retelling a fairytale. The author used both Realism & Fantasy to retell a story. Reminds me of that TV show "Once Upon A Time."
Bianca is a descendent of Snow White. She has been asked by Queen Felicia who is also a descendent of Cinderella to retrieve the glass slippers. Bianca along with her friends from Ever after go on an adventurous quest to seek out the glass slippers.

Where do I start? One thing I loved about this book was how it pretty much picked up right where the first one left off and not years later.
This book is just as good as book one.
Bianca gets to meet the seven dwarfs and has to get Cinderella’s glass slipper back. Can she get the slipper before something happens to her or someone she cares about?
You will have to read to find out.
You will love this book.
I loved it.

I have to admit that I have a weakness for fairy tales and anything involving them. This book was just fulfilling all of the elements that I love about fairy tales. This picks up right where the first book left off and Bianca was once again on another crazy adventure. Just absolutely amazing and makes me want to get the third book to find out what happens next!
